Mirus Calculator is an Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) Calculator designed to make the lives of facility managers and ACFI coordinators easier as well as helping to educate around the ACFI business rules.
It achieves this through a simple ACFI calculator with an easy to navigate user interface, coupled with a detailed “What to consider” logic that guides the user to when an ACFI can be resubmitted.
As ACFI rates are not static, I was required to implement integration into an API, through a CMS, changes the ACFI rates and for these changes to take effect into the application with no impact on user experience.
The Mirus Calculator also required a live news feed of related information, that was broadcasted from the API. This news feed the facility managers and ACFI coordinators can easily keep up-to-date with the industry relevant information.
Technical Details
- This iOS application was written natively in Objective-C (as Swift wasn’t out yet).
- CocoaPods was used for the dependency manager.
